The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Mufassil (Singhaul) P.S. Case No. 310 of 2015 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 307 and 326 of the Indian Penal Code and 27 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that according to the report received from the Additional Sessions Judge-XIV, Begusarai, out of twelve chargsheet named witnesses, only six witnesses have been examined as yet and the trial does not seem to be concluded in near future. The petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 26.06.2016 i.e. more than two years and half

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of this petitioner is rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial within a period of six months from the date of this order.
