The writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "(i) For issuance of a writ of certiorari or any appropriate writ, order or direction for quashing the letter No. PUP(Fo-192/2023 Part file III)-R/25-264 dated 12.03.2025 issued by the Registrar on the direction of the Vice-Chancellor, Purnea University, Purnea refusing to release the petitioner's salary which has been stopped since month of November 2024 due to not opting the new
Patna High Court CWJC No.1957 of 2026(2) dt.05-02-2026 2/3 pension Scheme and he has not been getting his salary since the Month of November 2024.
(ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction restraining authorities the respondent any from taking disciplinary/vindictive action against the petitioner for not giving his consent for opting the new pension scheme.
(iii) For issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction commanding the respondents authorities treating the petitioner in continuity as fresh due to the service render by him in the North Bengal University Siliguri and University of Burdwan (W.B) (iv) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction for grant of any other relief or reliefs which may be deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."
3. Counsel for the petitioner by referring to the letter no. PUP(Fo-192/2023 Part file III)-R/25-264 dated 12.03.2025 (Annexure-P/1) issued by the Registrar of Purena University, Purnea, submits that the salary of the petitioner has been stopped.

On the other hand, counsel representing Purnea University, Purena submits that since the petitioner is not cooperating with the authorities in completing the formalities for generating Pran I.D. as per Clause 10 of the letter no. 15/G 1-01/2024-269 dated 21.01.2025 issued by the Department of Education, the payment of salary to this petitioner has been
Patna High Court CWJC No.1957 of 2026(2) dt.05-02-2026 3/3 found to be difficult and, therefore, the same could not be done and, as such, the petitioner may be directed to cooperate with the authorities so that the Pran I.D. is generated and regular payment of salary could be made.

Considering the submissions of the parties, this Court finds it appropriate to direct the petitioner to appear before the Registrar, Purnea University, Purnea on 11.02.2026 at 12 PM with all necessary documents for facilitating the authorities to generate Pran I.D. in terms of the letter issued by the Department of Education as contained in letter no. 15/G 101/2024-269 dated 21.01.2025 and, on completion of the formalities, it is expected that the Registrar would pass necessary orders for payment of current salary including the arrear of salary, for which the petitioner is entitled.
