A writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ(s) direction(s) be issued commanding the respondent authorities to issue arms license pistol/revolver."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the Respondent No. 3, i.e. the District Arms Magistrate, Patna, to dispose off the pending application, filed by the petitioner on 20.6.2023, for grant of arms license. 3.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Respondent No. 3 to consider the aforesaid

Patna High Court CWJC No.1838 of 2024(2) dt.29-04-2024 2/2 application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in accordance with law and pass a reasoned and a speaking order thereon, within a period of eight weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
