Petitioner superannuated from the post of Inspector of Police working in Gandhi Maidan, Traffic Police Station- Patna w.e.f. 31.01.2015.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that other retiral dues have been paid but part of the GPF amount along with admissible interest has not been paid. He has prayed for payment of Rs. 2,73,322/- in GPF account with statutory interest. He submits that the calculation chart of unpaid GPF amount has been verified by the Senior Superintendent of

Patna High Court CWJC No.2240 of 2019(2) dt.07-02-2019 2/2 Police, Patna as contained in Annexure-1 to the writ application but still payments have been withheld.

Considering the nature of claim made by the petitioner, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 3, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna to look into the claim of the petitioner regarding his unpaid GPF amount. Any amount, due to the petitioner along with statutory interest, would be paid within a period of four months. If certain amounts are inadmissible after re-verification, the same shall be communicated to the petitioner by a speaking order sent through registered post.
