2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the State submitted that the recommendation for publication under Section 6 of the Bihar Municipal Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act')

Patna High Court CWJC No.8505 of 2017 dt.30-10-2017 2 / 2 with regard to upgradation of Dhaka Nagar Parishad has already been sent to the Department of Urban Development and Housing and the same has now to be formally notified. He assures that within two weeks the same shall be done, if already not done.

3. In view of the aforesaid, let necessary consequential and follow-up action for holding election to the upgraded Dhaka Nagar Parishad be set in motion by the State Election Commission within two weeks from the date of publication under Section 6 of the Act.

4. The Court sincerely hopes and trusts that the election would be concluded expeditiously without any undue delay in terms of the requirement of law.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off in the aforementioned terms.
