JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-12-2016 Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the State. The Petitioner seeks bail in S.T. No.226 of 2014 arising out of Parsauni P.S. case No.146 of 2013 instituted for the offence under Section2 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of A.D.J. III, Sitamarhi.

Supplementary counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the informant. The same may be kept on the record. From perusal of the supplementary counter affidavit filed on behalf of the informant, it is evident that the prosecution evidence has been closed on 14.11.2016.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The same is rejected. The Court below is directed to take all necessary steps to

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.22337 of 2016 (6) dt.07-12-2016 2/2 expedite the trial preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. It is expected that the prosecution and the defence shall co-operate during the trial.
