The petitioner is languishing in custody since 18.04.2015 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 307of the Indian Penal Code and 27 of the Arms Act. It is alleged that earlier the petitioner abducted the niece of the informant and subsequently he came along with the niece and for petty dispute fired on the informant causing injury on the thumb.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the injury report reflects superficial injury, though, the opinion has been reserved. Moreover, the investigation has already concluded.
