The writ application has been filed seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities to correct the nationality of the petitioner in the Intermediate certificate issued by the Bihar School Examination Board from "Indian" to "Nepali" and also to issue a fresh corrected Intermediate certificate dated 05.12.2014, issued to the petitioner on 21.03.2022 (Annexure P/13).

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1714 of 2026(2) dt.11-05-2026 2/3 petitioner had filed an application dated 21.03.2022 (Annexure P/14) before respondent no. 3 for correction of his nationality in the Intermediate Certificate from "Indian" to "Nepali", which was duly forwarded by the Principal of the College. It is further submitted that, despite the said application, when no action was taken and an inordinate delay was caused in making the correction sought by the petitioner in the nationality column of the Intermediate Certificate, the petitioner submitted another application dated 20.09.2022 (Annexure P/18), requesting the authorities to make the necessary correction in his nationality from "Indian" to "Nepali"; however, the same is still pending adjudication. It is next submitted that the petitioner has also filed a representation dated 18.

09.2025 (Annexure P/19) before respondent no. 2 for necessary correction in the Intermediate Certificate and issuance of a fresh certificate, which is also pending adjudication. Learned counsel lastly submits that the petitioner has tried his level best to get his grievance redressed at the authority level, but no relief has yet been granted to him.

4. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that since the applications have already been made by the petitioner and are still pending adjudication, the competent authority is required to adjudicate the same by passing an

In view of the aforesaid submissions made on behalf of the parties, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation, giving reference to the earlier representations, before the respondent authority within a period of four weeks from today and the authority concerned shall adjudicate the grievance of the petitioner by taking an appropriate decision within a period of eight weeks thereafter, and the decision so taken shall also be communicated to the petitioner within the same period.

6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the instant writ application stands disposed.
