JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 11-11-2022 In view of the statement made in paragraph '14' of the counter affidavit of the State and the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that the investigation of the case has been kept pending so far without there being any progress and further that the supervising authority have also recommended that this case be transferred to the Economic Offence Unit

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.809 of 2017(3) dt.11-11-2022 2/2 because the Economic Offence Unit is already investigating a similar case being Sri Krishna Puri P.S. Case No. 228/2008, this Court directs respondent no. 6 (Superintendent of Police, Economic Offence Unit), Patna to take over the investigation of the present case as well and after completion of investigation within a reasonable period submit a report to the learned court below.

In view of the statements present in the counter affidavit, learned counsel for the State has no objection to the Economic Offence Unit taking over investigation of the case.
