1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Chapra Town P.S. Case no. 854 of 2023 registered under sections 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the daughter of the informant who was married to the son of the petitioner herein was tortured for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry and ultimately done to death.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case because of her being the mother-in-law of the deceased. The allegations are categorically denied. The husband of the deceased i.e. the son of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7035 of 2024(2) dt.17-02-2024 2/2 the petitioner herein is in custody as has been stated in paragraph no. 13 of the petition. The allegations are general and omnibus in nature. The petitioner is in custody since 16.11.2023 and has no criminal antecedent.

5. The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the nature of allegations against the petitioner in the F.I.R, the allegations being general and omnibus in nature, the husband of the deceased being in custody and the petitioner who has no criminal antecedent having remained in custody since 16.11.2023, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Chapra Town P.S. Case no. 854 of 2023, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saran at Chapra.
