In the present writ application, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider the application of the petitioner filed on 9.5.2018 before respondent No.2 for issuance of an arms licence of N.P. Bore Pistol and issue the licence of the said arms on the ground of security as the life of the petitioner and his family is under continuous threat from local criminals, who had already killed the father of the petitioner and threatened to kill the entire family members if criminal cases against them are not withdrawn.
The petitioner had applied for arms license before the Respondent No.2 i.e. The District Magistrate, Patna. The said
Patna High Court CWJC No.2337 of 2019(2) dt.14-02-2019 2/2 application of the petitioner is pending since 09.05.2018. Considering the reliefs sought for in the present writ application, the Respondent No.2 i.e. The District Magistrate, Patna is directed to pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
