JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 25-04-2016 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner, being the husband of the informant, is languishing in jail since 13.02.2016 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A/494/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The basic accusation is of torture for non-fulfilment of dowry demands.

Learned for the petitioner submits that at the time of settlement of marriage the prosecution party had shown another girl but got the marriage solemnized with the informant. The allegation of demand of dowry and torture of the informant is false and concocted.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc.
