JUSTICE SANDEEP KUMAR ORAL ORDER 15-03-2023 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned APP appearing on behalf of the State. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Khagaria (Chitragupta Nagar) P.S. Case No. 680 of 2021 for the offences registered under Sections 25(1-b)a, 26(1), 35 of the Arms Act. From reading the report of the Superintendent of Police, Khagaria, it appears that the charge has been framed on 22.10.2022 but the trial has not proceeded yet. The Superintendent of Police, Khagaria is directed to produce the witnesses on each and every date so that the trial of the petitioner may be concluded within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

If the trial is delayed because of the latches on the part of the police in producing the witnesses then this Court will

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.5529 of 2023(4) dt.15-03-2023 2/2 recommend for appropriate action against the local police for delaying the trial.
