The petitioner is in custody since 21.11.2021 in connection with Kotwali P.S. Case No. 794 of 2021 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341/323/385/386/ 307/379 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is accused of assaulting the informant for demanding Rangdari (extortion) and snatching Rs. 8,500/- from the informant along with one Amit Sah @ Manta. In view of the allegation levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him bail. It is, accordingly, dismissed. The trial of the case be expedited within a period of one year.
