The husband of the petitioner died in harness on 13.2.2018. The petitioner, thereafter, approached the respondents for consideration of her case for compassionate appointment but till date the respondents have not taken any final decision with regard to claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment.

The idea behind the compassionate appointment is to provide social security to the deceased's family who died in

Patna High Court CWJC No.3874 of 2020(2) dt.25-02-2020 2/2 harness.

Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment. In the event, the petitioner is not found suitable for appointment on the post of Niyojeet Shikshak, then they have to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on a suitable post in terms of recommendation of the High Power Committee contained in Memo No. 1275 dated 26.9.2019.

Necessary decision in this regard may be taken by the respondents within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
