2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of B.N.S.
3. The case of the prosecution is that the sister of the informant, namely, Lalita Devi was married to one Raj Kumar Kamat about 30 years ago. On 30.09.2025, the informant received information that Lalita Devi has died. When he came to matrimonial house of the deceased, he found that the body of the deceased in a pool of blood. According to the informant, the death was caused by cutting the neck with a sharp cutting weapon.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.4975 of 2026(2) dt.04-02-2026 2/2 petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the daughter-in-law of the deceased and main thrust of allegation is against the husband of the deceased. A statement has been made in para-3 of this petition that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. Moreover, she is languishing in judicial custody since 01.10.2025.
5. Learned APP appearing for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer of regular bail.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Khutauna P.S. Case No. 158 of 2025 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Jhanjharpur, Madhubani.
