Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to remove defect(s), as pointed out by the office, if any, within a period of four weeks from today.

This application for anticipatory bail arises out of Dagarua P.S. Case No. 222 of 2019 for the offence punishable under Sections 304-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased against whom there is direct allegation of torture for demand of dowry.

In the opinion of this Court, this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this anticipatory bail application is dismissed. However, if the petitioner surrenders in the Court below and seeks regular bail, the Court below shall consider and decide the same without

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.5987 of 2022(2) dt.05-04-2022 2/2 being influenced by the order of this Court. While deciding the bail application of the petitioner, the Court below shall also consider the fact that the husband of the deceased has been granted regular bail.
