JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 19-02-2019 The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondent authorities to fix the salary and give her the arrears of salary forthwith.

2. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that by virtue of an office order of the Rural Development Department, Govt. of Bihar, Patna, the pay-

Patna High Court CWJC No.2421 of 2019 dt.19-02-2019 2/3 scale of contractual employees was increased/revised from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month with effect from 01.08.2014. The order further declares that the increment should be for 3 years of service which would be 5% and for 6 years, it would be 10% and for 10 years, the increment would be @ 15%. Despite representation by the petitioner before the Deputy Development Commissioner, Jahanabad (respondent No. 3), nothing tangible has been done in that regard. However, the petitioner was made to know that Deputy Development Commissioner, Jahanabad (respondent No. 3) has corresponded with the Secretary, Rural Development Department, Govt. of Bihar, Patna for fixation of pay of the petitioner so that the arrears of pay, if any, could be paid to her and other employees of her genre. It has also been submitted that there has been a further revision in the pay-scale of the petitioner and other employees in the year 2018.

3. Under the aforesaid circumstances, it has been submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if she is directed to make a representation before the Secretary,

Patna High Court CWJC No.2421 of 2019 dt.19-02-2019 3/3 Rural Development Department, Govt. of Bihar, Patna, detailing her grievances, within a period of two weeks from today. On receipt of such representation, the same shall be disposed off by the Secretary, Rural Development Department, Govt. of Bihar, Patna within a further period of six weeks thereafter. In case, the claim of the petitioner is found to be tenable, necessary sequel order shall be passed redressing her grievances.

4. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
