2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:

(I) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to pay the differences of salary of Rs.

Patna High Court CWJC No.6036 of 2021(3) dt.24-06-2024 2/3 52,784 for the period of November, 2000 to December, 2005 and Rs. 16,89,954/- for the period of January, 2006 to March, 2018 as calculated by the Respondent nos. 10 and 11 on account of grant of U.G.C. Pay-scale as well on account of grant of shifting of the date of promotion from the retrospective date to the petitioner.

(II) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to pay the statutory interest over the delayed payment of differences of arrears of salary since the delay has been occurred due to latches on the part of the respondents.

(III) For issuance of any other appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions for which the writ petitioners shall be found entitled under the facts and circumstances of the case.

3. Learned counsel for the Universities submits that the Universities have sent the requisition for release of the fund.

4. Considering the submission of the learned counsel for the Universities, respondent nos. 5 and 8 are directed to consider the case of the petitioner within ten weeks and pay the differences of salary.

5. If the payment is not made in the stipulated period, the petitioner shall be entitled for interest @ 4 % per annum.

6. It is made clear that respondent nos. 5 and 8 shall be personally responsible for non-compliance of this order within the stipulates period.

7. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
