2. The petitioner has filed this application for quashing the FIR vide Kateya P.S. Case No. 113 of 2018 and subsequent proceedings arising out of the said FIR.

3. The main contention of the petitioner is that he has an alibi and he was working as a Government servant and was present in his office at the time of occurrence.

4. The alibi of the petitioner cannot be verified by this Court in a writ proceeding and the FIR cannot be quashed on this ground.

5. In these circumstances, this application is disposed

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.258 of 2025(2) dt.17-06-2025 2/2 of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the S.P., Gopalganj with a representation about his alibi and the S.P., Gopalganj will get the alibi verified through the I.O. of the case and if the alibi is found to be true, appropriate order shall be passed.

6. With the aforesaid liberty, this application is disposed of.
