The present writ petition is filed for the following relief(s):- " ....... for direction to the learned Collector, Rohtas to dispose of the Supply Appeal No. 6 of 2018 filed on 20.02.2018 at an early date because the Statutory Appeal is pending since last about 10 months which is bad and illegal in terms of Clause 32(iii) of the Bihar Targetted PDS (Control) Order, 2016."

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.24328 of 2018(2) dt.25-01-2024 2/3 petitioner has stated that the licence of the petitioner has been cancelled and the petitioner has preferred a Statutory Appeal bearing Supply Appeal No. 06 of 2018 before the District Magistrate, Rohtas (Respondent No. 2). Learned counsel has stated that though the appeal has been filed way back in the year 2018, the appeal is still not being disposed of. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner prays this Hon'ble Court to direct the District Magistrate, Rohtas (Respondent No. 2) to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents has stated that the necessary direction may be given to the District Magistrate, Rohtas (Respondent No. 2) to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law.

5. Having regard to the above made submission, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the District Magistrate, Rohtas (Respondent No. 2) to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

6. It is needless to mention that before passing any order, the petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the

7. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction.
