The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The police got information that a man is killing his wife with a sharp cutting weapon. When the police reached, the petitioner was apprehended along with a dab (a weapon of cutting) and wife of the petitioner was lying dead by the side of the road.

The petitioner stated that due to old dispute with the wife, he had killed his wife.

After hearing the parties and considering the nature of allegation and material against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge him on bail in connection with Brahampur P.S. Case No. 408 of 2020.
