According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license was rejected by the District Magistrate, Patna, by an order dated

Patna High Court CWJC No.1801 of 2024(3) dt.11-11-2024 2/3 16.12.2005, which was challenged by the petitioner, by filing an appeal bearing Arms Appeal Case No. 841 of 2014 before the Divisional Commissioner, Patna and the learned Court of the Divisional Commissioner, Patna, by an order dated 9.4.2015 / 25.4.2015, has been pleased to quash the order under appeal and remand the matter back to the District Magistrate, Patna, for fresh consideration, however, it is submitted that the final order has not been passed thereafter, by the District Magistrate, Patna, hence, appropriate directions be issued to the District Magistrate, Patna.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the Respondent-State submits that if the aforesaid case is still pending, it shall be disposed off, within a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to consider the aforesaid case of the petitioner for grant of arms license, which has been remanded back to him for fresh consideration, by the learned Court of Divisional Commissioner, Patna, by an order dated 9.4.2015 /25.4.2015 and dispose off the same, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order within a period of six weeks from today.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off
