Mangalam, learned Counsel, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, and Md. Raisul Haque, learned Standing Counsel No.4, appearing on behalf of the State-respondents. Having considered the averments made in the writ petition and materials on record and upon hearing the parties, it is hereby directed that respondent No.4, namely, Superintendent of Police, Saran, at Chapra, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition, do the needful in accordance with law and complete the investigation of Baniyapur P.S. Case No.45 of 2016, if necessary by

WJC No.468 of 2016 dt.05-07-2016 2/2 the Investigating Officer other than the one, who is presently conducting the investigation provided that the situation so warrants, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months, ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed and necessary security of the petitioner is taken care of.

Let a copy of this order be sent forthwith to the Superintendent of Police, Saran, at Chapra, and Officer-in-Charge, Baniyapur Police Station.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
