The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 307, 386, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

As per the prosecution case, the ten named accused persons including the petitioner herein are stated to have come and resorted to indiscriminate firing. They threatened that the informant would have to pay rangdari.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case due to oblique reasons. The allegations are false and concocted. No person has been injured in the occurrence. The petitioner is in custody since 13.11.2020 and investigation in the case has

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case together with the petitioner having remained in custody for one year, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Barari (Semapur) P.S. Case no. 286 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate V, Katihar.
