2. The petitioner is the widow of Late Mathu Nut @ Bajul Nut @ Wazul Nut who was serving as Home Guard from 2001 till time he died on 21.10.2018 while still remaining in duty. It is the case of the petitioner that her late husband had not been paid salary from 24.08.2004 till the time he died. The aforesaid information does not appear to be correct as no details have been provided by the writ petitioner with respect to her husband not getting his salary for such a long period.

However taking note of the fact that the petitioner is a helpless and illiterate lady, this court deems it appropriate to permit the petitioner to make a representation before the Superintendent of Police, Bettiah, West Champaran within a period of four weeks. On receipt of such representation, the Superintendent of Police, Bettiah, West Champaran shall have the matter enquired after verification of service records of the husband of the petitioner and shall dispose of the representation within a period of six weeks thereafter.
4. With the aforesaid direction/observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
