JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 28-06-2022 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the case of the petitioner for grant of arms license which though was adjudicated against the petitioner vide order dated 13.09.2013 passed in Arms Case No. 9-316/2013, however, on an appeal being filed by the petitioner bearing Arms Appeal No. 368 of 2015, the leaned Divisional Commissioner, Patna Division, Patna has remanded the matter back to the District Magistrate, Patna for fresh consideration vide order dated 26.04.2016, nonetheless, the matter on remand is stated to be still pending consideration before the District Magistrate, Patna.
Patna High Court CWJC No.586 of 2019(3) dt.28-06-2022 2/2 The learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted that the District Magistrate, Patna shall take appropriate step to expeditiously dispose off the pending case of the petitioner for grant of arms license.
Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the pending case of the petitioner for grant of arms license within a period of three weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
