2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Azamnagar P.S. Case No.165 of 2023 registered under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 484 of the I.P.C.
3. It is alleged that the petitioner being a Kisan Salahkar posted in Azamnagar Block in the district of Katihar had taken Rs.2 lakhs for the purpose of bogus appointment of Indra Awas Sahayak and also prepared bogus selected candidates' paper using forged documents.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. There is no evidence with respect to any money transaction by the petitioner. The
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7442 of 2024(7) dt.19-07-2024 2/2 petitioner voluntarily surrendered before the learned court below on 23.09.2023 and since then he is judicial custody. The petitioner has one more criminal antecedent as stated in supplementary affidavit in which he is on bail. The petitioner undertakes to cooperate in the trial of the case.
5. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
6. Having considered the above facts and circumstances of the case as well as the submissions of the parties, let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of C.J.M., Katihar in connection with Azamnagar P.S. Case No.165 of 2023.
