26.07.2016 Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the State.

The Petitioner being the husband of the Informant is languishing in custody since 06.01.2016 in Riga P.S. Case No. 10 of 2016 registered for the offences under Sections 498A and 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code pending before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi.

The prosecution case is of killing the daughter of the Informant namely Sabnam Kumari within seven months of marriage for non-transfer of the Scorpio vehicle in the name of the petitioner. The post-mortem report reflects the cause of death as asphyxia caused by hanging.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.23352 of 2016 (3) dt.26-07-2016 petitioner that there is no specific accusation with regard to the demands of dowry and the victim committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan. Considering the nature of accusation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the Petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Let the trial be expedited.
