The petitioner is in custody since 15.12.2021 in connection with Birpur P.S. Case No. 18 of 2021 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 392/397/120B/411 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner has been named in the self inculpatory statement of the co-accused and is in custody since 15.12.2021. He has antecedent of similar nature.

In view of the above, the Court is not inclined to grant bail to this petitioner. It is, accordingly, rejected. The District Judge, Begusarai, is directed to get the trial of the case expedited so that the trial may conclude within a year. If there is no substantial progress in the case within a year

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6040 of 2022(2) dt.25-05-2022 2/2 then the petitioner is at liberty to move this Court for grant of bail again.
