The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 260 and 420/24 of the Indian Penal Code.
The allegation against the petitioner is that he was indulged in selling forged and fake stamps in the eastern gate of the Patna High Court and huge quantity of forged and fake stamps have been seized from his possession.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is a practising lawyer and he has been falsely implicated in this case. There is no material on record to connect him with this case. He has

Learned counsel for the State submits that petitioner has been found indulged in selling huge quantity of forged and fake stamps and has caused loss of State exchequer. After investigation, chargesheet has already been submitted. Charges have already been framed against the petitioner. He has also submitted that from perusal of the report submitted by the C.J.M., Patna, vide letter no. 188 dated 22.5.2015, it appears that if the prosecution and defence cooperate, the case may be disposed of within a period of three months. Considering the facts and circumstances, in my opinion, the petitioner does not deserve bail at this stage. Prayer for bail is rejected.
Let the trial of the petitioner in Kotwali P. S. Case no. 328 of 2014 be expedited.
