JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 24-04-2019 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the insurance company to pay the penal interest/ statutory interest pertaining to the commission admissible to the petitioner herein in pursuance to the award dated 06.12.2014 passed by the Lok Adalat in the Lok Adalat proceedings held at the Patna High Court.

The learned counsel for the L.I.C. submits that the claim of the petitioner is not denied, however the petitioner may submit requisite documents and calculation of the amount to be paid, whereafter the admissible amount of commission shall be paid to the petitioner herein.

Patna High Court CWJC No.14799 of 2017(3) dt.24-04-2019 2/2 Having regard to the narrow encompass within which the issue under consideration lies, the present writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent no. 2 within a period of four weeks by filing an appropriate representation along with all the documents, whereafter the respondent no. 2 shall pass final orders within a period of eight weeks thereafter and pay the admissible due amount.
