2. The present writ petition has been preferred for the following relief(s):

"for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus and/or any other appropriate writ/writs, direction/directions for order/orders, commanding the respondent authorities / The Collector, Bhojpur for disposal of the land settlement case number 01 of 2016-17 which was pending for final order of settlement of the land bearing khata no. 495, Kheshara no. 969, Mauja- Panwari, Thana no. 410 area about 05 decimals in the name of the petitioner

3. Land Settlement Case No. 01 of 2016-17 is/was pending before the respondent no. 2, the District Magistrate-cumCollector, Bhojpur at Ara and the writ petitioner simply wants its disposal.

4. Upon query, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has been informed that the same is still pending for final hearing.

5. Learned State counsel submits that if the same is pending, it will be taken to its logical conclusion immediately.

6. If the contention of the petitioner is correct, it is unfortunate that for disposal of a case (Land Settlement Case No. 01 of 2016-17), the petitioner invoked the writ jurisdiction in the year 2017 and eight years later, it is still pending.

7. In that background, the concerned respondent (District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Bhojpur at Ara) is directed to immediately take up the matter, if it is still pending and dispose it of in next three months to avoid any adverse comment thereafter.
