1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Teghra P.S. Case no.248 of 2023 registered under sections 307, 385 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the informant states that while he was having food, the petitioner and one another along with three unknown accused persons came variously armed. With the intention to kill, it is stated that the petitioner fired on the informant, however, the shot narrowly missed him.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case because of his antecedents. No such occurrence as alleged has taken place.

5. Heard learned A.P.P. for the State.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegation against the petitioner of having fired upon the informant, the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and the application is rejected.

7. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody or after framing of charge, whichever is later.
