2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Barhampur P.S. Case No. 454 of 2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 363/366(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the POCSO Act.

3. From the statement of the victim girl, it appears that the petitioner has sexually assaulted the victim girl.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

5. In view of the serious allegations levelled against the petitioner, this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail. It is accordingly dismissed.
