JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 18-12-2019 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. By this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for appointment on compassionate ground.

In fact, the matter was considered by the respondents and the petitioner's claim for appointment on compassionate ground was rejected.

It is well settled that appointment of any person on compassionate ground is not a reservation but it is only provided to mitigate the hardship of the family members of the deceased

Patna High Court CWJC No.895 of 2019(2) dt.18-12-2019 2/2 bread-earner by way of social security.

Since one of the brothers of the petitioner is already in Government job, there is no infirmity in the order dated 30.11.2018 passed by the authority rejecting his claim. The writ petition stands dismissed.
