====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 29-04-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the State.

2. Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 306/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. Prosecution case, in brief, is that all the F.I.R. named accused persons including these petitioners committed torture and harassment for dowry as a result of which daughter of the informant committed suicide on 27.05.2021.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that petitioner No. 1 is Gotni and petitioner No. 2 is father-in-law of the deceased. Petitioners are separate in mess

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8293 of 2025(3) dt.29-04-2025 2/2 and property and they have been made accused only on suspicion. Petitioners have got no concern with family affairs of the couple and they are simply victims of over-implication. He further submits that as a matter of fact, victim was having illicit relation with someone else for which Panchayati was held and being annoyed, deceased committed suicide. Petitioners claim clean antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application and submits that these petitioners are named with specific accusation that they tortured and harassed the deceased due to which she committed suicide.

6. Considering the nature and seriousness of allegation, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is refused.
