The petitioners are in custody in connection with Sikandara P.S. Case No. 348 of 2019 registered for the offences under Sections 25(1-B)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act and 37(c) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners would submit that petitioners have no criminal antecedent. Petitioner no. 1 is aged about 28 years and petitioner no. 2 is aged about 19 years. It is alleged that petitioners were apprehended in drunken condition. The petitioners are in

Considering the fact that petitioners have no criminal antecedent, they are in custody since 01.01.2020 and they are of young age, the Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Let the petitioners, above named, be released on bail on furnishing his personal bond to the satisfaction of the Additional District and Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Jamui in connection with Sikandara P.S. Case No. 348 of 2019, on account of the circumstances prevailing due to lockdown in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
