In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Mokama P.S. Case No.25 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 506, 302, 201 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 27 of the Arms Act.
As per FIR, one case was filed by the victim against the petitioner and other accused persons and they wanted to have a comprised. On the day of incident, the victim was picked up, took him to the boat and killed him and threw the dead-body into the river. Allegation has been made against the petitioner that he was regularly visiting the house of the victim and created a
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.21386 of 2016 (2) dt.20-05-2016 2/2 pressure for entering into the compromise, otherwise he will have to face dire consequences.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that coaccused, Arun Rai has been granted bail by this court in Criminal Miscellaneous No.20734 of 2016. However, in the aforesaid order no reason has been given.
Looking to the gravity of the charge and the manner in which it has been done, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. (Shivaji Pandey, J) pawan/- U
