2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code .

3. As per the prosecution case , allegation against this petitioner is that he along with other co-accused persons took Rs. 5 lakh from the informant in lieu of providing job in Health Department.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that from bare perusal of the F.I.R., it is apparent that the alleged

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7571 of 2024(6) dt.01-07-2024 2/2 payment has been made in the account of co-accused Ashish Ranjan . So far as this this petitioner is concerned, he has not received any single penny from the informant. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.

5. Learned counsel for the State and informant opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioner, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate , Biharsharif (Nalanda) in connection with Laheri P.S. case No. 585 of 2023 , subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure .
