The petitioners seek bail in anticipation of their arrest in connection with Mehandia P.S. Case No. 83 of 2020 dated 27.07.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 307, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The petitioners along with several others are said to have taken part in the affray in which the informant and his son have received injuries. The informant has received simple injury

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.17186 of 2021(2) dt.04-03-2022 2/3 and his son viz. Md. Murtaza Ansari has received gun-shot injury but that is attributable to Shashi Kumar, who is not the petitioner in this application.

Apart from this, it has been submitted that there is a counter version of the occurrence lodged by one of the coaccused persons of this case viz. Pankaj Bhagat vide Mehandiya P.S. Case No. 84 of 2020.

The petitioner no. 1 is serving Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Mainpura and has been made accused in this case only because he had tried to intercede between the parties. Some of the other similarly situated accused persons have been granted anticipatory bail by this Court. There is no specific accusation against the petitioners. Regard being had to the aforestated facts, the petitioners are directed to be released on bail, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on their furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Arwal in connection with Mehandia P.S. Case No. 83 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section
