Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 506 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code.

Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner that he ravished to the informant at night and support of the informant in her statement recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C., I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Paharkatta Police Station Case No. 129 of 2018 pending in the court of learned 1st Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kishanganj.

Hence, his prayer for bail is refused.

Learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within nine months. (Birendra Kumar, J) Rajan/- U T
