Mr. Asif Kalim, learned counsel for the State, with reference to the averments made in the show cause filed on behalf of the opposite parties no. 1 and 2, submits that in compliance of the order of this Court dated 12.01.2017, all such matters, including the matter related to the petitioner in which

Patna High Court MJC No.1989 of 2017(2) dt.27-09-2023 2/2 the dispute of title over the acquired lands involved was transferred to the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Patna for further consideration on the point of declaration of title and payment of compensation amount. It is also submitted that the compensation amount of the acquired land relating to case no. 01, 02 and 03/2014-15 worth Rs.1,70,18,557/- has also been deposited by the opposite party no. 3 in the court of the concerned competent authority, hence no liability remains pending before the answering opposite parties regarding the claim of the petitioner.

In view of the averments made in the show cause as also the submission put forth by the learned counsel for the State, the present contempt petition stands disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to pursue his case pending before the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority.
