The petitioner is languishing in custody since 15.05.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act. The petitioner was apprehended carrying 37.50 kgs. of rice on a pick-up van.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the accusation has been levelled only on suspicion. Considering the nature of accusation and period under custody, let the above named petitioner, be released
