Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has rendered her service as Tola Sevak but she has not been paid the honorarium for the period petitioner has worked as Tola Sevak. Taking work and denying salary amounts to begaari which is prohibited under Article 23 of the Constitution. Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the District Programme Officer

Patna High Court CWJC No. 14345 of 2017(2) dt.20-02-2020 2/2 (Shaksharta), Vaishali, Hajipur to verify the record and if it is found that petitioner has actually worked then she should be paid honorarium for the period she has actually worked.
