The petitioner is in custody since 09.08.2020 in connection with Amas P.S. Case No. 35 of 1994 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is an accused in a case of 1994. He was an absconder and he has not faced trial.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the main accused has been acquitted.

Since the petitioner is an absconder, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to this petitioner. It is, accordingly, dismissed.

However, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial as early as possible.
