Case No. 491 of 2019 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 25(1-B)(a), 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. Allegation is of recovery of one country-made pistol and live cartridge from the petitioner.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody for three months, having no criminal antecedent.

Heard learned APP also.

In view of above facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. However, once charge has been framed in this case or petitioner has remained in custody for six months, whichever is earlier, petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
