The short issue involved in the present case is regarding correction of the name of the mother of the petitioner in the Class-X certificate issued by the C.B.S.E. Board, New Delhi.

The learned counsel for the respondent-C.B.S.E., at the outset, submits that the case of the petitioner was rejected since at that time, the limitation for correction was one year. However, during the interregnum period, the period of limitation has been extended to five years, hence the case of the petitioner would definitely be considered by the C.B.S.E. and necessary

Patna High Court CWJC No.2191 of 2019 dt.08-02-2019 2/2 correction would be made, in case the petitioner files an appropriate application along with the requisite documents within a period of four weeks from today.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent-C.B.S.E Board, New Delhi by filing an appropriate application along with the requisite documents within a period of four weeks from today, whereafter the C.B.S.E. Board, New Delhi shall issue fresh certificates after making necessary corrections within a period of six weeks thereafter.
