JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 06-02-2020 The grievance of the petitioner is that the case lodged by her reporting the fact that her husband had gone missing on 25.01.2018, has remained pending without there being any progress in the investigation. It is submitted that no effort is being taken by the Investigating Officer and in course of investigation though the petitioner has given certain information to the I.O. but that has remained unattended. In this regard she claims to have made a representation as contained in Anexure '2' before the Deputy Inspector General of Police,

Learned counsel for the State submits that the FIR was lodged against unknown persons.

In the given facts and circumstances of the case where the petitioner has moved this Court seeking conclusion of investigation which is pending for over one and half year, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi (respondent no. 5) to look into the matter, review the progress made in course of investigation so far, supervise the case and to ensure all follow-up action leading to conclusion of investigation and submission of police final report within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

This application stands disposed of.
