The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a lady having clean antecedent and allegation in the F.I.R. is that petitioner is the bhabhi of Prakash Kumar whose marriage was fixed with the daughter of the informant but the marriage could not take place after ring ceremony as it is alleged that the accused persons, including the petitioner, started demanding Rs. 10 lakhs alongwith a car.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7014 of 2022(2) dt.23-06-2022 2/2 petitioner has been made an accused in the present case merely because she is related to Prakash Kumar and the allegation against all the accused persons appears to be general and omnibus in nature.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner above-named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below where the case is pending/successor court in connection with Hazipur Town P.S. Case No. 883 of 2021 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C.
